Christopher James “Chris” Christie (born September 6, 1962) is an American Republican politician and the Governor-Elect of New Jersey. He is a former United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey.
Christie was born on September 6, 1962 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of Bill and Sondra Christie. He was raised in Livingston, graduating from Livingston High School. Christie graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1984 and Seton Hall University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in 1987.
