Scott Thompson (born February 25, 1965), better known by his stage name Carrot Top, is an American comedian known for his bright red hair, prop comedy and often self-deprecating humor.
Thompson lived in Orlando, Florida during part of his youth. In 1983, he graduated from high school, and enrolled later that year at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. While still a freshman at Florida Atlantic, he appeared in his first stand-up comedy routine with Josh Abelson. Two months later, he performed on campus at an open-mic night.
