Jared Scot Allen (born April 3, 1982 in Dallas, Texas) is an American football defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. He was originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played college football at Idaho State. Allen is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and All-Pro with the Chiefs in 2007 and the Vikings in 2008 & 2009.
As a child, Allen competed in several junior rodeos in the calf roping events.
